The factsheet “Urban Land Use” is part of a comprehensive set of eight factsheets developed under the SOILL project to inform and support applicants involved in the EU Mission ‘A Soil Deal for Europe’.It showcases how Living Labs can drive soil restoration and resilience in urban areas by tackling soil sealing, enhancing biodiversity, and fostering inclusive co-creation among citizens, planners, and researchers. These factsheets build on the groundwork laid by the NATI00NS project and provide clear, accessible guidance to help navigate the application process for Soil Health Living Labs and Lighthouses. The set includes five thematic factsheets focused on Land Use Types, Agricultural, Forestry, Industrial, (Semi-)Natural, and Urban, as well as three cross-cutting factsheets on Biogeographical Regions, Funding Opportunities, and Ecosystem Services. Together, they offer a practical overview of the Mission’s goals, implementation pathways, and eligibility considerations.
