There is a need for semantic brokerage tools that can assist in harmonising datasets and metadata records that use different syntax (technical formats) and semantics (content/used vocabularies). Achieving semantic alignment requires a thorough understanding of the targeted datasets, including their metadata elements, structure, and the semantic concepts they encompass. This is achieved with the help of a newly developed software application, the “Semantic Analyser” (SA).
