
The article addresses the nature of linguistic tools and innovations that shape the linguistic personality of a military correspondent in the context of media discourse related to the special military operation that began in 2022. The author analyzes the features of creating a subdiscourse of military correspondents, reflecting the specifics of describing combat operations, tactics, technical characteristics of weapons and new phenomena that require linguistic assessment. The linguistic techniques and innovative linguistic units used by leading military journalists to form public opinion and event assessment parameters are considered. It is concluded that the language of military correspondents is a lively, dynamic and multifaceted phenomenon reflecting the interaction of language, culture, and politics in conflict situations. The linguistic personality development through innovative means is a key factor in successful media discourse, contributing to informing and forming an assessment of what is happening.
