
Collecting stories of moments from the past when young Naga women used to meet and socialize is not often talked about in oral traditions. This short essay briefl y gives a glimpse of how ‘ordinary’ moments and traditional folk singing intersect in the world of Zeme women in the past. The narratives and life worlds of the female dormitory are brought in for this study. This is an ongoing work in understanding the role of women in Zeme oral traditions.
