APPRENDRE LE FLE AVEC "LES CHORISTES": QUAND LE FILM DEVIENT UN OUTIL PÉDAGOGIQUE

Abstract

This study presents a lesson plan designed around the film Les Choristes (The Chorus), aiming todevelop learners’ French language skills and to strengthen their cultural awareness. By relying on thepedagogical contributions of audiovisual materials, particularly film and music, this plan offers learners anatural and authentic learning environment conducive to acquiring everyday language, emotionalexpressions, and cultural elements. Based on a qualitative approach through document analysis, this studyled to the development of a six-hour lesson plan. The plan is structured into five parts: general presentationof the course, introduction and preparation, development, application, and conclusion. Each part includesinteractive activities that promote language development while raising learners’ awareness of Frenchculture. Its implementation aims to increase learners’ motivation to learn French, improve theircommunicative competence, and encourage their active participation in the language learning process. This plan also serves as a concrete example of the use of film and music in foreign language teaching, which canserve as a reference for future research and pedagogical applications.
