Abstract

El presente estudio evaluó la efectividad de un programa de entrenamiento funcional de alta intensidad para mejorar el rendimiento físico del personal militar Naval. La investigación incluyó a 17 participantes que prestan sus servicios en el Cuerpo de Infantería de Marina que completaron pruebas iniciales y finales para evaluar capacidades claves como fuerza, resistencia, velocidad y agilidad. Las pruebas físicas realizadas incluyeron flexiones de codo, trepar el cabo, velocidad en 400 metros, abdominales y natación en 200 metros. Los resultados mostraron mejoras significativas en todas las áreas evaluadas, con progresos porcentuales que oscilaron entre el 8,11 % y el 27,59 %, dependiendo de la prueba. El diseño del programa integró metodologías como Every Minute On The Minute (EMOM) y As Many Rounds As Possible (AMRAP), así como la escala de Borg CR10 para personalizar la intensidad del entrenamiento según las capacidades individuales. Este enfoque permitió a los participantes progresar de manera segura y efectiva, logrando avances consistentes en habilidades físicas esenciales para contextos operativos. Los ejercicios funcionales se enfocaron en patrones de movimiento multiarticulares, asegurando la transferencia de habilidades a escenarios reales. Los hallazgos respaldan la implementación de programas funcionales como parte de la preparación física del personal militar, destacando su capacidad para desarrollar de manera integral habilidades críticas. Este enfoque no solo mejora el rendimiento físico general, sino que también promueve la seguridad y sostenibilidad del entrenamiento, reduciendo el riesgo de lesiones. Se recomienda su replicación en otras unidades militares para maximizar su impacto.
