Abstract

La présente étude tente d’identifier les freins au choix de carrière entrepreneuriale chez les diplômés ivoiriens. Elle utilise une démarche qualitative passant par des entretiens semi-directifs conduit auprès de 36 étudiants inscrits en année de Master. Au terme de cette étude, 11 sous-catégories d’arguments expliquent les freins à l’entrepreneuriat chez les étudiants. 57% de ces arguments proviennent de ceux aspirant à la carrière entrepreneuriale et 43% de ceux enclins à la carrière salariale. Ainsi, ces résultats montrent que les facteurs institutionnels représentent la clé de voûte du choix de carrière entrepreneuriale. Cela révèle l’existence d’un contraste entre la promotion de l’entrepreneuriat faite par l’État et les personnalités et ce qu’observent, pensent les jeunes diplômés concernant l’entrepreneuriat et l’État. Ainsi, cette étude suggère que des actions encore plus sincères doivent être posées par l’État de Côte d’Ivoire et ses partenaires pour inciter véritablement les jeunes diplômés à choisir la carrière entrepreneuriale.
