The FAIR Implementation Workshop – Enhancing FAIR and Trustworthy Data Repositories: Insights from the Repositories in the Western Balkan Region took place on the 8th of May, 10:00–11:05 CEST. This workshop presented key findings from the FAIR Implementation Support Action carried out in the Western Balkans, focusing on the Data Archive for Social Sciences in Bosnia and Herzegovina (DASS-BiH) and four faculties at the University of Belgrade. Both applied FAIR-IMPACT guidelines to improve metadata quality, repository transparency, and stakeholder trust, while addressing common regional challenges. The session compared experiences across two disciplines—social sciences and chemistry—demonstrating how the same tool was used in different contexts. Participants gained practical insights into improving FAIR compliance and repository interoperability. Registration was free but required.
