Los riesgos socionaturales: Un enfoque desde la cosmovisión de los pueblos originarios de México

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar cómo las cosmovisiones de los pueblos originarios de México contribuyen a la comprensión de los riesgos socionaturales, a partir de su relación espiritual, cultural y territorial con la naturaleza. La metodología consistió en una revisión teórica y reflexiva de enfoques interculturales, contrastando la visión hegemónica occidental basada en la ciencia y la tecnología con las epistemologías del sur y los saberes indígenas. Se identificaron interpretaciones que integran elementos simbólicos, comunitarios y ecológicos como parte del entendimiento del riesgo. Los resultados evidencian que, para muchas comunidades indígenas, los fenómenos naturales no representan peligros aislados, sino expresiones de un orden cósmico que exige respeto y reciprocidad. Esta visión holística redefine el riesgo como parte de un proceso de autorregulación del entorno, y promueve una sustentabilidad que rechaza la lógica extractivista del modelo económico dominante. En su lugar, plantea formas de convivencia basadas en el equilibrio, la solidaridad y el bienestar colectivo, aportando elementos claves para una gestión del riesgo más integral y culturalmente situada.
