Abstract

Datasets for paper Methane and the Warming Blame Game, Joseph Wheatley (2025) All datasets are .csv files. unfccc_groupings contains UNFCCC Negotiating Group country memberships assumed in this paper. The country column represents ISO3 codes. ch4_n2o_emissions_pre1970 are the assumed country-level methane and nitrous oxide emissions over the period 1851-1970 as described in the paper. hector3.2_screened_256_member_ensemble are Hector model parameter configurations used in this study, derived from observed 2003-2022 warming (1.03 ± 0.08 °C). warming_allocations_15_groups_256_hector_configurations and other warming allocations files give computed warming allocations. gsat column is warming Shapley values in degrees. gsat_loi and gsat_loo are warming values in leave-one-in and leave-one-out approximations. gsat_approx are split-the-difference warming approximation values. luc_warming_groups gives estimated land use change warming contributions in millidegrees of UNFCCC groupings using the central TCRE value (0.45°C/TtCO2).
