I Am Exhausted By You is a zine for sharing my projects (writing, exhibits, proposals, and more) that never got published. This issue features a short article titled, "Dear Survivors of the COVID-19 Pandemic Experience," that I wrote in December 2023 when I was wrapping up a data science fellowship project. My project involved me using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to create something cool with an assigned data set of Philadelphia Black public art. A core point of my project was that AI imagery of black and brown skin is horror-esque. AI often creates the uncanny valley effect with multiple limbs or facial features not in the right spots. I wrote this piece as a companion to my project to expand on how generative AI images was horror content that can be related to current world events.
