¿Cómo dibujar la ciencia social? Recomendaciones para hacer infografías de divulgación

Abstract

Este documento presenta un modelo metodológico interdisciplinario para el diseño de infografías de divulgación científica en ciencias sociales, desarrollado por el Departamento de Difusión del Instituto de Investigaciones Sociales de la UNAM (2018-2025). Fue resultado de la ponencia titulada “¿Cómo dibujar la ciencia social? experiencia de divulgación de investigaciones sociales con representaciones gráficas” presentada en el Tercer Encuentro de Técnicos Académicos de la UNAM el 4 de junio de 2025. El trabajo sistematiza un proceso de creación basado en cuatro fases clave: Diagnóstico de audiencia: Análisis de características sociodemográficas, contextos culturales y hábitos mediáticos. Prueba de relevancia: Evaluación de la significancia del conocimiento para públicos específicos. Síntesis de información: Selección y jerarquización de contenidos mediante plantillas estandarizadas (≤60 palabras por sección). Diseño visual: Composición estratégica de elementos gráficos, paletas cromáticas y tipografías culturalmente pertinentes. Se incluyen estudios de caso aplicados a comunidades indígenas, docentes de educación básica y estudiantes universitarios, destacando soluciones adaptativas para cada contexto. El modelo enfatiza la colaboración entre investigadores, comunicadores y diseñadores, así como estrategias de distribución multimodal (redes sociales, repositorios digitales y talleres presenciales).
