Introduction: The GLOW-S dataset is a global river width dataset generated from Sentinel-2 imagery. Dataset Features: Temporal Coverage: Data spans from 2017 to 2022. Spatial Resolution: Cross section level. Postprocessing: When multiple observations for the same cross-section and date exist, the dataset averages these widths to enhance usability. Column names for river width data: crossSxnID (cross section identifier): RXS date (image capture date): YYYY-MM-DD width (river width captured in meters) Column names for cross section shapefiles: crossSxnID (cross section identifier): RXS lat (latitude in WGS84) lon (longitude in WGS84) Version updates: 19 Jun 2025: (1) The widths estimates below 10m have been removed. (2) The cross-sections files and width data files have been mrged, so the user has to download only one file for each region

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
