Abstract

Rot-to-Rocket – Fueling a Regenerative Future Across every acre of neglected orchard and each ton of uncollected crop waste lies a resource quietly waiting to be transformed—not just into fuel, but into opportunity, resilience, and renewal. The Rot-to-Rocket model introduces a scalable, decentralized approach to turning agricultural byproducts into ethanol energy through a system rooted in regional synergy, cooperative ownership, and community-driven innovation. Beginning with small-scale fermentation and expanding to interlinked cold-hot climate supply chains, this framework merges natural cycles with human ingenuity. It offers farmers, students, technologists, truckers, and rural entrepreneurs a clear path from waste to wealth—using what already exists, rather than waiting for what might be legislated. By leveraging local temperature advantages, modular distillation, and digital tracking platforms, Rot-to-Rocket becomes both an energy infrastructure and a social movement. The metaphor of trees ablaze—not with destruction, but with life—reflects the system’s essence: roots grounded in real communities, branches of distributed ownership, and flames symbolizing the transformation of decay into generative energy. It is not just about ethanol—it is about local revitalization, environmental stewardship, and energy autonomy. From cracked earth to illuminated canopy, Rot-to-Rocket charts a course for those seeking pragmatic, decentralized answers to global challenges—through scalable growth, regional wisdom, and the raw potential of what is too often thrown away.
