Huellas psicológicas de la violencia de género en mujeres atendidas en instituciones gubernamentales de Perú

Abstract

La violencia de género es una patología social compleja, arraigada en las normativas culturales, en la visión falocéntrica y en los aprendizajes de vida, lo que genera consecuencias nefastas sobre la salud e integridad de las mujeres violentadas. Se consideró necesario el abordaje de la violencia en toda su amplitud, con énfasis especial en el campo psicológico y en los escenarios institucionales. Por ello, este estudio, de orientación metodológica cuantitativa, analizó la relación entre la violencia de género y los trastornos psicológicos de la ansiedad y la depresión en 181 mujeres atendidas en instituciones gubernamentales de Piura, Perú. Entre los principales resultados se obtuvo: 1) Altos niveles de ansiedad que se conectan a la violencia física, psicológica y sexual. 2) Normalización de la violencia en más del 40% de las mujeres víctimas de agresión de distinta naturaleza. 3) Impacto en distintas aristas, como en la educación, la economía, la autonomía y el poder de decisión. Finalmente, se concluyó que, más allá de las estadísticas, hay mujeres que esperan ser atendidas, para así recuperar sus derechos a la calidad de vida, integridad y a la salud, lo que concuerda con las propuestas teóricas del aprendizaje social, las teorías ecológicas y las posturas feministas.
