Abstract

Objetivo: evaluar la memoria de trabajo (MT) con pruebas de ejecución y de autorreporte, identificar el porcentaje de estudiantes con alteraciones cognitivas, así como determinar la relación entre los fallos cognitivos subjetivos y el puntaje estandarizado en pruebas de ejecución de MT en estudiantes universitarios. Participantes: 49 universitarios (31 mujeres, 17 hombres y una persona no binaria) con un promedio de 20.3 ± 2.3 años de edad, cursando etapa básica de la carrera de psicología. Instrumentos: Cuestionario de Fallos Cognitivos (CFC) (Broadbent, 1982), Escala de memoria de trabajo (MT) del BRIEF-A (Roth et al., 1996) (BRIEF-MT) y la Prueba Auditiva de Adición Serial (PASAT) (Gronwall, 1977). Procedimiento: Se solicitó la firma de un consentimiento informado. Se aplicaron las pruebas mencionadas con una duración de 20 minutos. Las puntuaciones directas fueron transformadas a puntajes t para la BRIEF-MT y a percentiles en la prueba PASAT. Resultados: Los universitarios mostraron un promedio de 23.9 ± 23.1 percentiles en la prueba PASAT. Una puntuación directa promedio de 45 ± 25.3 en el CFC, y un promedio de puntuaciones T de 64.6 ± 10.8 en la BRIEF-MT. Con las diferentes medidas empleadas se encontraron porcentajes de estudiantes con alteraciones de MT entre el 45 y el 61%. Se encontró una correlación significativa entre los puntajes del CFC y la BRIEF-MT, pero no con el PASAT. Conclusiones: Las alteraciones de memoria son una situación frecuente en estudiantes universitarios. Es importante emplear medidas diversas que incluyan pruebas de autorreporte, pero también de ejecución al evaluar la MT.
