Análisis de una estructura regular aporticada de concreto armado basada en la norma COVENIN 1756:2001 y en el proyecto de norma COVENIN 1756:2018

Abstract

El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar el comportamiento sismorresistente de edificaciones de concreto armado en Maracaibo bajo suelos de roca blanda o dura, diseñadas bajo la Norma COVENIN 1756:2001 y bajo el Proyecto de Norma COVENIN 1756:2018 con el propósito de evaluar la respuesta sísmica de las edificaciones según las metodologías de diseño. La investigación es de tipo descriptiva, ya que se determinó el comportamiento ante las acciones sísmicas a través del software ETABS. Además, se manejó un diseño no experimental donde no se manipularon las variables en estudio. Los resultados demostraron cómo las edificaciones realizadas según el proyecto de Norma COVENIN 1756:2001 generan respuestas promedio superiores en 54% en cortantes basales máximos, 42% en pesos sísmicos, 58% en aceleraciones espectrales y mayores derivas. Así, se destaca una gran disminución del coeficiente de aceleración horizontal para Maracaibo y se ausenta la rama horizontal de aceleraciones constantes.
