Stakeholder Engagement Plan

Abstract

The stakeholder engagement plan (SEP) identifies key project stakeholders, included in the Stakeholder Forum (SF), and outlines the methodology and approach for interacting and communicating with them strategically over time, to increase the likelihood of positive outcomes. The SF is a multi-disciplinary group of experts at the local, national, and EU-wide level in areas such as public health, policy making, and scientific research among others, with relevant expertise or influence in the disciplines and geographical scope of the CPW project. It aims to contribute and collaborate in different project activities, providing expertise and guidance. The SEP includes stakeholder analysis as a key part of stakeholder management, to assess how the interests and expectations of those stakeholders should be addressed in a project plan, policy, or other action, related to the potential changes the project will create to the system they are part of. As an external actor in the project, the SF will require a structured management strategy that should allow involvement of the stakeholders in project activities, to obtain adequate information and to provide feedback to their contributions, ensuring maximisation of stakeholders’ experience and contributions to the project and generate real impact towards the project outcomes. Finally, stakeholder engagement evaluation is crucial for measuring and improving the effectiveness of the stakeholder management efforts. It will help assess how well we are communicating, collaborating, and delivering value, and how satisfied the project team and the stakeholders are with the performance.
