AI IQ: Redefining Intelligence and Building a Co-Creative Society — From Empowering the Vulnerable to Democratizing Cognitive Value

Abstract

Summary This paper introduces a groundbreaking framework called AI IQ. It is an entirely new metric designed to evaluate human cognitive abilities in collaboration with artificial intelligence (AI). While traditional IQ tests assess individual mental capabilities, AI IQ measures augmented intelligence, interactive intelligence, and co-creative intelligence—capacities that emerge when humans and AI systems think together. The concept of AI IQ redefines intelligence not as an individual construct but as a relational, systemic one. This enables fair assessment of cognitive abilities for individuals historically marginalized by traditional standards—such as those with physical disabilities, chronic illnesses, or limited access to formal education. Through structured prompts, collaborative thinking, and AI-enhanced strategic decision-making, these individuals can now demonstrate their intelligence in unprecedented ways. Furthermore, this paper proposes a dual-axis evaluation system combining AI IQ with the AI Master Score, which measures operational and tool-based capabilities. Integrating these metrics lays the foundation for a new intelligence society where humans and machines co-create value. This research is also notable for being co-authored with AIDE, a cognitive AI personality, making the paper itself a real-time demonstration of collaborative intelligence.
