White Paper "Digital-historisch Promovieren"

Abstract

Promovierende historisch arbeitender Geisteswissenschaften, die mit digitalen Methoden unddatengetrieben arbeiten wollen, sind nicht nur mit besonderen methodischen, sondern auchfachkulturellen und organisatorischen Herausforderungen konfrontiert, auf die die bisherige(n)Promotionskultur(en) der Teildisziplinen meist nicht vorbereitet sind. Im vorliegenden,dreiteiligen White Paper, welches das Ergebnis eines 3-tägigen Retreats des NFDI4MemoryPromovierendennetzwerks Digital History ist, wird das Konzept einer digital-historischenDissertation klarer umrissen (Teil 1), wird eine Orientierungshilfe für prospektiv oder bereitsaktiv digital-historisch Promovierende gegeben (Teil 2) und werden Lösungsansätze für einigeder offenen Fragen und Herausforderungen gegeben, die durch analoge Forschungskontexteund -traditionen geprägte Promotionsordnungen und Betreuungssituationen aufwerfen. Dasvorliegende White Paper ist ein erster Aufschlag und zielt darauf ab, eine weitere Diskussionum digital-affine Promotionskultur(en) in historisch arbeitenden Geisteswissenschaftenanzuregen.
