It is becoming increasingly necessary to share various forms of textual data among agencies, organisations, governments, and other entities. It is of great importance toprotect the private information in this data. Publishing individual private information (often referred to as personally identifiable information (PII) in the field of data privacy) may have serious effects on the individuals. Privacy regulations will never be 100% effective due to breaches and other unforeseen events, such as accidental release or compromised data infrastructure. The development of data technologies aimed at preserving privacy is essential to ensure compliance with regulations, especially since manual privacy protection on data is an almost impossible task due to the ever-growing amount of data containing personal identifiable information.
