Comentarios: Han sido descritas diversas especies cripticas de L. gracilis (Barrio, 1973: 204) (Sazima & Bokermann, 1978: 899) por lo que algunas citas del sudeste brasileño corresponderían a estas y no a la primera. Distribución geográfica: Presente en todoel país. Además en las Provincias argentinas de Buenos Aires, Catamarca, Corrientes, Códorba, Chaco, Entre Rios, Formosa, Jujuy, Misiones, Salta, Santa Fé, Santiago del Estero y Tucumán y en los Estados brsileños de Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul y Santa Catarina.
