Abstract: Emergency surgical nursing stands at the confluence of urgency and precision, requiring nurses to respond rapidly while adhering strictly to clinical guidelines. It involves complex decision-making, quick prioritization, and strict adherence to perioperative care protocols. The unpredictable nature of surgical emergencies, often involving life-threatening conditions, demands that nurses be exceptionally skilled, alert, and emotionally resilient. This review explores the core domains of preparedness, prioritization, and protocols within the sphere of emergency surgical nursing. The paper delves into the skills required, the environments in which such care is delivered, common emergencies, and the evidence-based practices that guide professional responses.
