Book of Abstracts - EUCARPIA 2025 Conference on Breeding to meet environmental and societal challenges

Abstract

This publication contains the Book of Abstracts from the EUCARPIA 2025 Organic and Low-Input Agriculture Conference, held from 26 to 28 May 2025 in Coimbra, Portugal. It includes oral and poster presentations from researchers, plant breeders, farmers, and practitioners working on organic and low-input seed and plant breeding. Topics covered include participatory breeding, agrobiodiversity, seed policy, socio-economic and environmental challenges, and practical innovations for resilient and sustainable seed systems. The event was co-organised by the EUCARPIA Section on Organic and Low-Input Agriculture, the LiveSeeding project, and ESAC–IPC (Coimbra Agriculture School), with the support of multiple Horizon-funded and national projects.
