The datasets presented accompany the paper "The Gulf Stream moved northward at the end of the Little Ice Age" (Forman et al., 2025, https://doi.org/10.1038/s43247-025-02446-3). All the data correspond to those derived from the BER-SWI-13 stalagmite reconstruction. For more information on the dataset and its generation please see the above publication. Here we provide the following files: BER-SWI-13_Annual_SSTs.xlsx - the SST model output at annual resolution; BER-SWI-13_Final_Age_Model.xlsx - the final depth-age model presented in Forman et al. (2025); BER-SWI-13_Mg_Record.xlsx - the full stalagmite Mg record; and BER-SWI-13_Monthly_SSTs.xlsx - the SST model output at monthly resolution. More details are provided in each file.

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 1 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
