Groundwater Depth Time Series for 2902 wells across England

Abstract

This dataset provides the groundwater depth time series and annual mean groundwater depth for 2,902 wells across England. This dataset is created based on the groundwater levels time series provided by the Environment Agency of England and Wales (https://environment.data.gov.uk/hydrology/landing, last accessed in June 2024), by removing several outliers and questionable stations present in the original dataset. This dataset is published with the research paper (Fang et al., Human Activities Dominate Groundwater Trends across England) that analyses the groundwater trend across England and is made freely available to the community.
