The presentation supported the Huizinga Institute workshop ‘Depositing oral history data for reuse’, led by Norah Karrouche (VU), in collaboration with DANS. In this workshop, participants learnt how to deposit and share their oral history interview recordings in the DANS Data Station Social Sciences and Humanities. The workshop addressed several issues, including privacy legislation, adding metadata, and the use of thesauri in a digital workflow. The workshop was open to all levels, no prior experience with data management was expected. Participants were encouraged to bring their own data. Accompanying the presentation are two supporting presentations, which explain how to create an account in the DANS Data Station Social Sciences and Humanities, for participants either with or without an employment at a Dutch academic research institute.
