D1.2 - Data Management Plan v1

Abstract

The HumAIne initiative stands as an integration of state-of-the-art technologies and profound scientific inquiry. Its cardinal goal is the development and deployment of groundbreaking solutions, underscoring the symbiosis between human and artificial intelligence. The project commits to fostering substantial advancements in technology and science, with a concentrated focus on pragmatic, real-world applications across diverse fields like manufacturing, smart city infrastructure, healthcare, finance, and energy. Moreover, these applications are scrutinized within the broader techno-economic and socio-economic evaluation frameworks. Central to the HumAIne project's is the formulation of an effective and robust Data Management Plan (DMP). This plan is pivotal in ensuring that all data, whether generated or utilized within the project, are managed with the required degree of efficiency, security, and integrity, a concept further explored in the Secure Data Collection and Management task. The DMP of the HumAIne project is addressing several critical areas. It includes the establishment of comprehensive protocols for systematic data collection, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. This aspect of the plan also focuses on secure and scalable storage solutions to cater for the expanding volume of data. Furthermore, the plan contemplates the implementation of policies governing data sharing while adhering to legal and ethical standards, thereby ensuring data accessibility to authorized personnel and fostering an environment of transparency and collaboration. Another integral component of the DMP involves the development of long-term preservation strategies, which are crucial for maintaining the sustainability and usability of data over time. This includes considerations for data formats, archiving systems, and ongoing data integrity checks. In addition, the plan underscores compliance with relevant legal, ethical, and regulatory frameworks, prioritizing the protection of sensitive information and personal data. Lastly, the plan addresses the standardization and harmonization of data formats and protocols. This is essential for facilitating interoperability and data integration across various components of the project, ensuring consistency and efficiency in data management practices across all pilots and use cases. This holistic approach to data management underpins the project's commitment to innovation, collaboration, and excellence in the realm of human-AI integration. This document also presents the available data assets and datasets to be shared within HumAIne project by its pilots and the software artefacts utilized by the technical partners, as well as the tools and procedures used to manage data according to policies and regulations. This is the first version of HumAIne’s DMP produced, with a concrete final version becoming available on the last month of the project (M36).
