
This paper examines the evolving dynamics of cultural cooperation andtourism between South Korea and Japan in the 21st century. Despite politicaltensions and a complex historical legacy, the two nations have developed robustframeworks for cultural exchange and people-to-people diplomacy, particularlythrough pop culture, academic initiatives, and sustainable tourism. This studyexplores key areas of bilateral cultural collaboration, current trends in tourism, andthe socio-political implications of this soft power engagement, drawing on casestudies, recent statistics, and policy initiatives. The paper concludes with adiscussion on future directions and policy recommendations for strengtheningbilateral cultural tourism.
