D3.2. Protocol 2: Cultural Game Jam Kit. EPIC-WE Cultural Game Jam Processes, Phases, Methods, and Tools (Final protocol)

Abstract

This report, D3.2 Protocol 2: Cultural Game Jam Kit – EPIC-WE Cultural Game Jam Processes, Phases, Methods, and Tools, represents the final version of Protocol 2 within the EPIC-WE project (Empowered Participation through Ideating Cultural Worlds and Environments). The D3.2 Protocol 2 is a direct extension of the initial D3.1 Protocol 2: Cultural Game Jam Kit and should as such be read together. The D3.2 Protocol 2 further refines and extends the Cultural Game Jam (CGJ) Kit created based on the D3.1 Protocol 2 through integrating the empirical insights, design interventions, publications and deliverables produced from the cross-sector research and innovation activities carried out in the EPIC-WE project during 2024-2025. The Protocol 2 outlines key methodologies, structural refinements, and practical applications to advance the role of cultural game jams in fostering cultural heritage engagement, game-making as culture-making, and youth empowerment.
