Evolución histórica del marketing digital y su impacto en la expansión de las PYMEs en América Latina

Abstract

La investigación tiene como propósito analizar cómo el marketing digital incide sobre la expansión de Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas (PyMEs) en América Latina. Se parte de la evolución histórica de las tecnologías digitales, que inicia en los años noventa, destacando el surgimiento del internet, el correo electrónico y los primeros banners, llegando al auge de las redes sociales, la inteligencia artificial y la hiperpersonalización. Asimismo, se explora cómo la Web 2.0 y el Big Data han transformado las formas en que las PyMEs interactúan con los consumidores, facilitando la segmentación y el posicionamiento de marcas. La metodología empleada es de tipo mixta. Los hallazgos aluden a las ventajas estratégicas que estas herramientas ofrecen al marketing digital. Empero, en el contexto latinoamericano, persisten barreras tecnológicas, de conectividad, capacitación y financiamiento, que limitan su plena adopción en la región. A pesar de ello, se destaca la relevancia y flexibilidad del modelo 4F (flexibilidad, focalización, fidelización y feedback), como medio para impulsar el marketing digital en las PyMEs. Finalmente, se concluye que, en América Latina, existen numerosas oportunidades para construir un ecosistema financiero autónomo y competitivo a nivel global.
