The data derive from the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NAMCS) and the National Hospital Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NHAMCS), 2010–2019. Analyses were performed in R (v4.3.1) using the “survey” package for weighting, variance estimation, and logistic regression. This record includes all processed data, analytic scripts, and numerical source data for Figures 1–5. Raw survey data are publicly available via NCHS.
