Neotropical; Chile (Spinola 1851): Región de Coquimbo (Ruiz 1937; Lanfranco 1974a, b); Región de Valparaíso (Porter, 1897; Brèthes 1927; Lanfranco 1974b; Jerez et al. 1977); Región Metropolitana (Spinola 1851; Morley 1911; Janvier 1933; Lanfranco 1974b; Porter 1998; Santos & Aguiar 2018); Región del Maule (Lanfranco 1974b Santos & Aguiar 2018); Región de La Araucanía (Morley 1911; Janvier 1933; Lanfranco 1974b; Santos & Aguiar 2018); Región de Los Ríos (Morley 1911; Santos & Aguiar 2018); Región de Los Lagos (Taschenberg 1876; Lanfranco 1974b; Santos & Aguiar 2018); Región Aysén del General Carlos Ibáñez del Campo (Ureta 1935); Región de Magallanes y de la Antártica Chilena (Haliday 1836; Morley 1911; Lanfranco 1974a). Comments. Spinola (1851) also stated the species has been collected in the “ provincias centrales ”.
