Tadqiqot davomida termokatalitik va yarim o‘tkazgichli sensorlar asosida metan uchun yuqori sezuvchanlikka ega, selektiv va barqaror qurilmalar ishlab chiqildi. Metan konsentratsiyasi va sensor signali orasidagi to‘g‘ri proporsional bog‘lanish, yaratilgan TKS-1 sensorining H₂ va CO gazlariga nisbatan yuqori selektivligi tajriba orqali isbotlandi. Shuningdek, sensorlarning sezgirlik, tezkorlik, barqarorlik va haroratga bog‘liq xatolik darajalari o‘rganildi hamda metan konsentratsiyasini 0,1–5,0 % oralig‘ida aniqlash imkoniyati yaratildi.
