Maltrato hacia menores de edad desde espacios de familia en México: discursos patriarcales como forma de justificación

Abstract

En el presente artículo se profundiza en el maltrato físico que vivencian las personas menores de edad en contextos de familia en México, con el objetivo de develar y analizar la raíz de los discursos que justifican dichas acciones; tomando en consideración que durante el periodo estudiado hubo un alza en la violencia en espacios de familia, afectando así a dicho grupo social. El posicionamiento metodológico tiene un enfoque cualitativo que buscó, a través del análisis de narrativa, recuperar discursos en notas periodísticas que cubrieron el fenómeno. Esta decisión respondió a las dificultades de inmersión en entornos privados y de violencia, así como, la importancia de comprender información publicada en medios, que reflejan realidades sociales que se someterán a un análisis científico. Los principales resultados, identifican la configuración del dispositivo patriarcal como instrumento de subordinación, control, castigo y corrección, soportado de categorías asociadas como el adultocentrismo, reflejado en relaciones asimétricas; y, la cosificación, representada en la exposición y desecho. Así pues, como parte de las conclusiones se reflexiona sobre el plano de la realidad social, donde dichas acciones se encuentran normalizadas como parte de la cotidianidad, y se cuestiona el papel de la familia, la comunidad y el Estado.
