The aim of this report is to present the Library of Citizen Engagement (hereafter The Library), an open-access curated collection of tools, games, and stories to be used by food sharing initiatives, policymakers and citizens for establishing, expanding and maintaining inclusive participation in sustainable food sharing. Effective citizen engagement is vital for realizing inclusive, resilient food sharing, and supporting citizen participation in wider food systems transformation. Food sharing initiatives (FSIs) have valuable lessons to share when it comes to engaging marginalized groups, fostering meaningful participation, and creating welcoming community spaces. The Library was created with FSIs in the context of the EU CULTIVATE project to share their knowledge with a wider public through tools, games and stories for citizen engagement.
