Abstract

Schumann resonances are global electromagnetic oscillations within the Earth-ionosphere resonator, generated by lightning discharges and characterized by resonance frequencies at approximately 7.8, 14, 20 Hz, and higher harmonics. Variations in the frequencies and amplitudes of these resonances are sensitive indicators of atmospheric and ionospheric conditions, making them valuable markers for global thunderstorm activity and space weather monitoring. This dataset contains the results of Schumann resonance observations conducted throughout 2024. Measurements were conducted near Nizhny Novgorod, close to the village of Drozdovo in the Nizhny Novgorod region, with geographic coordinates approximately 56.54° N, 43.83° E. It includes post-processed time series data of the north-south component of the magnetic field in magnetic coordinates, specifically central frequencies and amplitudes of the first three harmonics. Provided in CSV format, the dataset can be utilized for atmospheric monitoring tasks, climate change research, and the development of electromagnetic wave propagation models in Earth's atmosphere. The use and publication of the data presented in this archive are permitted only with the authors' permission.
