Abstract

Neoperla lahu Stark, 1983 Figures 3–4 Neoperla lahu Stark, 1983, Aquatic Insects 5(2): 101. Material examined. 1 male (ICYZU), China: Yunnan Province, Pu'er City, Simao District, Pu'er Botanical Garden, 22.84425° N, 100.95397° E, 2024.VI.1, Xie Xin. Distribution. China (Yunnan); Thailand (Chiang Mai). Remarks. Originally described from Thailand by Stark (1983), this species exhibits prickly lines on the endophallus that closely resemble Stark's illustrations. Chiang Mai, located in northern Thailand, is nestled in a valley of the Mae Nam River basin and is surrounded by mountains, most notably the Doi Pui range. Pu'er is located in the southwestern part of Yunnan Province, and the straight-line distance between Chiang Mai and Pu'er is approximately 500 kilometers. Due to the presence of paired spiny lobes on the ventral surface near the apex of the penile tube in N. lahu, we classify it within the lushana -group (Zwick, 2023). Finally, we present clear color images for the first time, aiming to assist in the future identification of this species (Figs. 3–4).
