This notebook presents a component-based analysis of data stories created with Semantic Web technologies by university students with entry-level proficiency in both information visualisation and SPARQL. The stories were authored using Melody, a storytelling platform that integrates Semantic Web technologies and supports narrative construction from structured data. The dataset used in this analysis is available on Zenodo. Through descriptive statistics and visual summaries, this notebook examines how beginner users structure narratives using textual elements, visualisation types, and SPARQL queries — contributing to a better understanding of data literacy development in educational settings grounded in Semantic Web approaches.
