Abstract

This project contains the research thesis "The Glimpse Theory: Positrons as Potential Gateways to Dark Energy and Matter," which introduces a novel hypothesis suggesting that positrons may serve as transient indicators of interactions between dark energy/matter and the observable universe. The "Glimpse Theory" posits that the fleeting existence and behavior of positrons could provide insights into the nature and presence of these elusive cosmic forces. The thesis explores this concept through theoretical reasoning, a basic Python-based simulation, and analysis of potential correlations with real-world astrophysical data, such as gamma-ray bursts (GRBs), terrestrial gamma-ray flashes (TGFs), and the 511 keV annihilation line. The simulation models positron bursts as momentary energy spikes triggered by interactions with dark energy/matter, demonstrating rapidly decaying burst patterns and oscillations. The project aims to stimulate further research into the role of positrons as potential "gateways" to understanding the hidden components of the universe. The PDF is having my thesis.
