Energiewende für die Industrie (Technology Talk)

Abstract

Mit der zunehmenden Digitalisierung steigt der Strombedarf von Servern und Datencentern in allen Unternehmen kontinuierlich – insbesondere durch datenintensive Anwendungen wie Cloud-Dienste, Streaming, KI-Anwendungen und Big-Data-Analysen. Am 5. November 2025 fand der NEFI Technology Talk "Energieeffizienz bei Servern und Datencentern" des OÖ Energiesparverbandes in Linz statt. Der Fokus des Talks lag bei Effizienz-Maßnahmen, die dazu beitragen, den Stromverbrauch von Servern und Datencentern zu reduzieren. Am Programm standen effiziente Kühlsysteme, Energiemanagementsysteme, die optimale Auslastung der Server sowie Lösungen für die Anschaffung neuer Hardware. Die Veranstaltung stellte aktuelle Technologien und Best-Practice-Beispiele vor, zeigte die Auswirkungen von KI auf den Energieverbrauch auf und präsentierte, wie Energieeffizienz und Betriebssicherheit Hand in Hand gehen können. NEFI ist das österreichische Innovationsnetzwerk zur Transformation der Industrie in Richtung Klimaneutralität. Vorzeigeprojekte demonstrieren, dass klimaneutrale industrielle Produktion mit Innovationen "Made in Austria" technisch und wirtschaftlich machbar ist. Die NEFI Technology Talks sind eine Veranstaltungsreihe, die sich aktuellen technischen und systemischen Fragestellungen rund um die industrielle Energiewende widmet.
