This paper presents a theoretical inquiry into the reframing of ethics and spirit as fundamental components within organizations, including educational institutions. Such reframing is particularly relevant amid the turbulence of globalization and growing institutional complexity. Grounded in an interdisciplinary approach—drawing upon Bolman and Deal’s four-frame model, spiritual leadership theory, and the etics-emics paradigm—this study offers a conceptual framework for understanding how educational institutions can become ethically resilient and spiritually meaningful entities. The discussion interprets organizations symbolically as a factory (excellence), an extended family (care), a jungle (justice), and a temple (transcendence), each reflecting distinct yet interrelated ethical dimensions. The paper concludes that value-based leadership is fundamental to cultivating educational environments that are not only sustainable and human-centered, but also aligned with the noble and holistic aspirations of national education.
