SIRIS Academic is a higher education & research consulting company born in 2010, 100% owned by a not-for-profit foundation. The company was established in 2010 as a privately-owned company with a clear mission outlined in its statutes: economic profit is a means, not an end. The ultimate goal is to contribute to the development of sound public policies for Higher Education, Research, and Innovation.By 2022, after 12 years of dedicated effort, SIRIS Academic had grown into a thriving organisation with 50 employees, operating across diverse global ecosystems. At this pivotal moment, the three founding partners, inspired by the steward-owned organisation model, chose to donate all their shares to the newly established SIRIS Foundation. The foundation was created to safeguard the company’s original mission and ensure that its value serves a collective purpose rather than an individual one. The SIRIS Foundation now stands as the sole owner of SIRIS Academic. SIRIS Charter is the official document which defines the relationship, rights, and responsibilities between the SIRIS Foundation and SIRIS Academic. It outlines the governance structure, decision-making processes, and strategic alignment between the Foundation and its subsidiary, ensuring both entities work in harmony towards long-term value creation.
