[Recording] In this webinar, we welcomed researchers and publishers who use Open Journal Systems (OJS) to manage their journals. We demonstrated how to leverage DOI tools in OJS—alongside the Crossref plugin—to deposit metadata with Crossref. We also explored the critical role of high-quality metadata in making your content more discoverable and usable. What you learned: How to install and configure the necessary plugins and settings in OJS How to deposit your metadata with Crossref using OJS How to troubleshoot common issues with DOI deposits in OJS How to use the Participation Reports tool to evaluate your metadata quality Our goal was to empower researchers and publishers by highlighting the importance of good metadata and sharing practical steps to enhance it. By optimizing OJS to manage DOIs and applying the insights from this session, attendees discovered how to boost the visibility and accessibility of their research for a broader audience.
