Geomagnetic and Geoelectric Field Data in North China During the May 2024 Superstorm

Abstract

The file May2024SuperStormdata.zip contains time series data from four geomagnetic and twenty-two geoelectric field observation sites in North China, covering the period from May 1 to May 30, 2024. The data are stored in MATLAB binary format as structured arrays, with each file corresponding to a single station. Each file includes the station’s geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude), as well as the start and end times of data acquisition. The file Impedance.zip contains magnetotelluric impedance tensors for the 22 geoelectric field sites, estimated using the EMTF (Electromagnetic Transfer Function) method.
