Abstract

Die Präsentation von Dr. Moritz Mähr bei der Buchvernissage "Stadt.Geschichte.Basel" stellt das digitale Portal des Projekts vor. Ziel dieses Online-Portals ist es, als virtueller Speicher zu dienen, der öffentlichen Zugang zu einer Vielzahl historischer Daten über Basel ermöglicht. Es soll nach Abschluss der achtjährigen Projektlaufzeit fortgeführt und kontinuierlich aktualisiert werden.Das Portal verfolgt einen Public-History-Ansatz, indem es sowohl für die breite Öffentlichkeit als auch für Forschende und Studierende konzipiert ist. Es bietet einerseits dynamische Inhalte wie Geschichten, Erlebnisse, Blogs und Veranstaltungshinweise, andererseits stellt es umfassende Quellen, Forschungsdaten und Forschungsergebnisse zur Verfügung, die Open Access verfügbar und maschinenlesbar sind.Das Team um Dr. Moritz Mähr legt besonderen Wert auf die nachhaltige Sicherung und Langzeitarchivierung der Daten auf Plattformen wie DaSCH und Zenodo. Geplant sind zudem weitere Aktivitäten, darunter die Präsentation von Forschungsergebnissen auf der internationalen Tagung DH25 in Lissabon und die Veröffentlichung barrierefreier digitaler Versionen der Bände 1 bis 9 von Stadt.Geschichte.Basel.
