Design and Simulation of a Basic Combinational System Using Quartus: A Tutorial for Digital Electronics

Authors: CRUZ, CARLOS;

Design and Simulation of a Basic Combinational System Using Quartus: A Tutorial for Digital Electronics

Abstract

This tutorial is part of the Digital Electronics course, in the Telecommunication Technologies, Communication Electronics, Telecommunication Systems Engineering, and Telematics Engineering degrees at the University of Alcalá. The objective of this tutorial is to explain how to use the Quartus tool by guiding students through the creation of a basic project. This project involves designing and simulating a combinational system composed of a multiplexer and an adder. Through this practice, students gain essential knowledge about digital design and the implementation of logic circuits in a CPLD board. This material is intended for students and professionals interested in digital system design, providing a solid knowledge for using development tools in the field of digital electronics.
