Abstract

Abstract Based on our research, we can say that when teaching topics related to chemical kinetics, special attention should be paid by the teacher to properly involving students in the lesson. When we say that students are involved in the lesson, we mean that they are enthusiastic about class activities related to the subject and that they are able to determine the importance of the independent activities they perform in their lives. One of the most important aspects of involving students in the lesson is independent work methods. As a result of implementing independent work methods, students develop procedural, conceptual and metacognitive knowledge. In this case, the student does not give up on the difficulties he encounters when solving the problem set before him and must also explore the aspects of the problem he will solve that are related to his daily life. It is precisely when students understand the importance of topics such as chemical kinetics, which form the basis of chemistry, in daily life, that interest in the subject can be achieved.
