Test problems and MESA inlists for "AREPO-IDORT: Implicit Discrete Ordinates Radiation Transport for Radiation Magnetohydrodynamics on an Unstructured Moving Mesh"

Abstract

Data for the paper "AREPO-IDORT: Implicit Discrete Ordinates Radiation Transport for Radiation Magnetohydrodynamics on an Unstructured Moving Mesh", including:1. IDORT.zip: Test problems (Configuration files, parameter files, simulation snapshots, Jupyter notebook to reproduce figures). For some notebooks where gadget_readsnap is needed, please also install Arepo-snap-util.2. IDORT_mini.zip: Same as IDORT.zip but excluding the output simulations snapshots.3. MESA_RSG.zip: MESA (r15140 with mesasdk-x86_64-linux-21.4.1) inlists to produce single non-rotating solar-metallicity red supergiants as the initial conditions for 3D AREPO simulations. The radiation transport module and associated test problems have been merged into the master branch of AREPO. Everyone is welcome to try it out! If you are interested in using the radiation module for your research, please first contact me (jingze@mpa-garching.mpg.de) and I am happy to collaborate. This is because (1) I am still a junior researcher and it takes efforts to develop this code, and (2) I would like to avoid conflicting interests between people who'd like to use this code to study similar problems. If you haven't got access to AREPO, please contact Volker Springel (vspringel@mpa-garching.mpg.de).
