Abstract

Rhizophagus sayi Schaeffer, 1913 Collection information. USA: Georgia: Clarke Co.: three individuals from two sites. Caught in flight trap from 9–25 March 2020. Distribution. Eastern North America. Saproxylic habits. Occur under the bark of deciduous trees where it is a predator and likely fungivore (Bousquet 1990); found in association with bark beetles (McElrath and McHugh 2018). Conservation. Significantly associated with young forests (regrown since 1938 and pine dominated) in highly forested landscapes (> 50 % forest) in the Piedmont (Traylor et al. 2023 a).
